How 42 Years of Courage, Outreach, and Innovation Enter a New Era of Impact
St. Louis, MO — February 3, 2026
Pregnancy Resource Center Founder (now ThriVe), Mary Nelson, was never interested in maintaining systems or status quo. She was interested in reaching women—especially young women experiencing a pregnancy crisis—when timing, access, and faith mattered most.
Today, the organization she founded announces a defining evolution that accelerates her mission and dramatically expands her legacy: a full pivot to the nation’s first AI-only pregnancy advocacy platform, built to deliver faster, broader, and more effective outreach than ever before.
Mary Nelson believed that effective outreach was the work. She believed innovation was not optional—it was a necessity.
She believed college campuses and young women were not future priorities—they were urgent ones.

Impacting college campuses was her passion and her clearly stated reason for making a donation toward the purchase of the Lindell building, strategically positioned between several college campuses.
Although the brick-and-mortar model never fully fulfilled this college priority, as we know, significant and lasting impact was made in underserved communities for many years!
This new transition to an AI-centric delivery system, “Clear Choice”, represents the bold shift that allows ThriVe to position itself in RELEVANT ways for the pregnant college student.
“For Mary, the measure of success was always effectiveness,” said Madronica Malone, Executive Director. “How fast could we get there? How many women could we serve? How effectively could we intervene? How well were we reaching college students? Clear Choice allows us to answer those questions at a scale she spent her life pursuing.”
For 42 years, the organization led with cutting-edge service models. Today, it is executing a sharp pivot away from costly brick-and-mortar delivery systems that never fully activated college campuses, and re-allocating assets toward the most aggressive outreach effort of its time—ensuring resources are invested directly in access, speed, and engagement.
“Mary’s Executor has assured us that Mary’s hopes were more than fulfilled through our epic success over 42 years,” Malone added. “However, this plan allows for the re-allocation of Mary Nelson’s original investment in our building toward lightning-fast, laser-accurate, specific outreach to colleges across the state—amplifying her investment exponentially.”
The AI-only Clear Choice platform delivers:
* Immediate, effective, judgment-free pregnancy intervention at moments of real decision
* 24/7 access, without appointments, travel, or barriers
* Superior speed, outperforming traditional brick-and-mortar models
* Financially superior operations, allowing outreach to multiply
* Gen Z–relevant engagement, aligned with mobile-first, social-native behavior
This approach enables rapid expansion throughout Missouri, and then into all 50 states, extending Mary Nelson’s reach far beyond what physical locations ever allowed—or where her imagination ever traveled—while remaining faithful to the heart of her mission.
Mary understood that young people adopt truth through the tools of their generation. Today’s generation lives on their phones. Clear Choice is not a departure from her values—it is the most faithful expression of them in this moment.
“Our vision is never static,” Malone added. “Each year we become bolder, more adaptive, and more radically innovative about access to women (and men) experiencing a pregnancy that represents perceived obstacles for them. This historic pivot multiplies Mary’s legacy in ways that simply weren’t possible prior to her homegoing on June 1, 2024.”
The AI-only Clear Choice platform is poised to go live within weeks, with continuous enhancements planned to evolve alongside the needs of the next generation.
Mary Nelson started a movement defined by courage and compassion. This next chapter ensures that movement remains lightning-fast, generationally relevant, and mission-faithful.
